Welcome to the Courts & Ridges Lightning Swim Team Web Site
The Courts & Ridges Lightning are a neighborhood swim team, a member of the Old Dominion Swim League (ODSL) , and is open to all Courts & Ridges residents. Non-residents are accepted on a space-available basis.
Practices are held on weekday mornings and evenings throughout the summer. Swim meets are typically held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Emphasis is on learning proper swim techniques, sportsmanship, and FUN!.
We are a competitive swim team where our number one goal is to improve the team members’ swimming skills, to provide every member the experience of participating in the swim meets, and to have fun!

Counting down to .... LIGHTNING Swim Team Party
THIS Saturday 7/26/08 @ 6 pm
***Lightning Swimmers - Please wear your team suit***
6 – 7pm – Awards & DEEJAY spinnin' the tunes
Drop off your food at the table to your serving crew for our BBQ
dinner.
Coaches will be giving out awards starting at 6:15pm. Have your
child sit at their designated age-group area.
Sign up for pool games (between 6 - 7)
7 – 8 pm – DINNER - DANCING - FREE SWIM
Enjoy a BBQ buffet served by swim team parent volunteers with your
family and swim team friends.
We have some great cakes for dessert too! Pay close attention to
the decorations on the cake!
Our fabulous DJ will be spinning songs all evening for our enjoyment
– make sure you request your favorite song!
Feel free to enjoy the pool before our swim games begin.
8 – 9pm – DEEJAY-DANCING & GAMES
We have some fun swim games planned.
For the 8 & under crowd, we have a Bucket Brigade, a ball toss and
noodle races.
For the 9 & over crowd – yes, parents this includes you too - we
have some relay races planned and a greased watermelon game.
Be sure to sign up for games between 6 & 7 pm.
**We still need clean up crew.... Please let me know if you can
help!
